Sony files a patent to enable a game to be restarted at a specific time

Manufacturers are in the habit of filing patents for future functionalities and technologies. Of course, not all of them are used, but one has caught our attention.
Sony wants to enable users to instantly replay passages of a game thanks to "trigger points", which would be located at the start of an activity, such as a boss fight or the launch of a quest.
This replay would be provided "by the platform, publisher or third-party editor" when a game is launched.
