The Overwatch League may be coming to an end, but Blizzard isn't abandoning the eSport scene just yet

Last week, Activision Blizzard announced the end of the Overwatch League, after six more or less successful seasons. Each team owner received a termination fee as part of their partnership with the league.
However, the American firm has no intention of abandoning the eSports scene.
"We are transitioning from the Overwatch League and evolving competitive Overwatch in a new direction. We are grateful to everyone who made OWL possible and remain focused on building our vision of a revitalized esports program. We are excited to share details with you all in the near future."
