Mortal Kombat 1 Halloween Fatality pack in community's sights
, by Thibaut
There's a lot of bad buzz surrounding Mortal Kombat 1. While the game is sold at full price, NetherRealm couldn't resist including an in-game store containing all kinds of cosmetic items to be purchased with real money.
Among the content on offer is a "Halloween Fatality" pack priced at $10, which includes a simple "finisher". At the end of a fight, our avatar can place a pumpkin full of maggots on the head of our opponent, who is inevitably devoured.
The pricing policy was so questionable that Warner Bros. Games has been forced to intervene in the face of player discontent. But instead of lowering the price of the pack in question, the publisher decided instead to offer two additional fatalities to purchasers... These are the Christmas and Thanksgiving fatalities, which will be included in the next seasonal bundle.
