This week, Nintendo finally announced a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie. It will be produced in collaboration with Avi Arad, a producer who has long worked on Marvel films.
In a recent interview, Shigeru Miyamoto spoke of the obstacle course that led to this announcement.
"[...] I know we face an extremely high hurdle in producing a film that will not disappoint the global fan base. With this challenge in mind, I have been discussing this project with Avi Arad, Chairman of Arad Productions Inc., for about 10 years."
