Sony delays six of its next twelve GAAS
, by Thibaut
During the announcement of its financial results for the previous quarter, Sony reiterated its intention to launch 12 games as a service over the next few years.
However, the Japanese manufacturer has decided to delay half of these projects, which were due to hit the market by the end of March 2026. In the end, six will be released within this timeframe while the rest have been postponed indefinitely.
Sony wants to try "as much as possible to ensure [these games] are enjoyed and liked by gamers for a long time." We know that, with its expertise on Destiny, Bungie is supporting the Japanese manufacturer in its new strategy of engaging gamers over the long term via this type of titles.
