Epic Games Store is still not profitable

Launched in December 2018, Epic Games' online store now occupies a major position in the PC gaming market, yet it still remains unprofitable for the firm behind Fortnite.
Indeed, this was revealed by Steve Allison, general manager of Epic Games. Despite this, the company plans to improve and expand its Store in the coming years.
This lack of profitability can be explained by the many free games offered to users, but also by a very generous distribution of revenues. Epic only takes 12%, while Steam recovers 30% on game sales.
