PS5 "Slim" explained in video
, by Thibaut
The current PlayStation 5 will soon be replaced by a new "Slim" model, which can be fitted with a removable disk drive.
In a highly instructive video, YouTube channel Dave2D has taken Sony's new machine apart. In particular, we learn that the "Slim" version isn't much smaller than the one released in 2020.
Also, without the famous player, it weighs 2.6 kg instead of the 3.4 kg of the first edition. When the peripheral is added, the weight drops to 3.2 kg from 3.9 kg on the original PS5. It should be noted that the Blu-Ray drive is relatively easy to remove without the use of any tools.
