Electronic Arts welcomes Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard

While Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard has sometimes been criticized, at least one major player in the video game industry is satisfied with the merger, to say the least.

Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, believes that the takeover is good for the gaming sector as a whole.

"I think the marriage between Microsoft and Activision is a great thing. It means that one of the biggest companies in the world will continue to invest in our industry, to help us develop it over time."

In addition, the EA boss expressed his readiness to make studio acquisitions, while declaring his optimism " about us, the incredible talent that we have, the world-class IP that we have, the technology that we have, and a community of 700 million players – well on its way to 1 billion or more [...]".
