Nvidia: GeForce RTX 4090 banned from sale in China from November 17

For several weeks now, the United States has been expressing its intention to ban the export of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs to China, in order to slow down the development of AI and supercomputers in the country.

We learn that this ban will come into force on November 17. From that date, Nvidia will no longer be allowed to import its 4090 graphics cards into China.

However, Nvidia has decided to increase shipments of its AD102 chips, used in the RTX 4090, to its manufacturing partners ahead of the deadline, so that they can build up stocks before the ban comes into force.
