Sony expects to break console sales records this period
, by Quentin
Sony Interactive Entertainment says it is anticipating one of the strongest seasons ever for PlayStation console sales during this period.
The announcement comes from Eric Lempel, SIE vice-president and head of worldwide marketing. According to him, this will be the first Christmas when anyone wishing to buy a PS5 will be able to find one.
In fact, the company is aiming to ship 25 million PS5s by March 2024. If this happens, it will surpass a 25-year-old record held by the first PlayStation, which sold 22.6 million units in 12 months.
