CD Projekt RED used AI to reproduce the voice of a deceased actor for Cyberpunk 2077

This surprising piece of information comes to us from Bloomberg. The site reports that CD Projekt RED has used artificial intelligence to reproduce the voice of Miłogost Reczek in the game.

Indeed, this actor, who played the Polish version of Viktor Vektor in Cyberpunk 2077, died in 2021, and rather than find a replacement for him, and with the agreement of the deceased's family, the studio decided to recreate the actor's voice using AI.

This process enabled the studio to include new lines of dialogue for Phantom Liberty.
