Disney may consider buying a major games publisher
, by Thibaut
Disney withdrew from video game development several years ago. However, the American firm has multiplied its partnerships with a view to adapting its licenses for consoles and PC.
In a recent article published by Bloomberg, we learn that the assistants of Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, have advised him to acquire a major games publisher, with Electronic Arts being even mentioned. The aim is to give Disney a new impetus and transform the company into a global video game giant.
According to these rumors, Iger has not yet made up his mind, and remains rather evasive on the subject.
