The next Call of Duty is expected to be a full-fledged game but very close to a Modern Warfare

The nature of this year's Call of Duty release remains unclear at the moment. According to early rumors, it was said to be some sort of extension for Modern Warfare II. However, Activision later confirmed that a so-called "premium" episode will be released at the end of 2023.

According to the website Insider Gaming, the American publisher has indeed changed its plans in order to offer a truly innovative Call of Duty game this year. The game would still maintain a strong link with the Modern Warfare series. Remastered maps for multiplayer are expected to be part of the game. The beta will take place over two weeks and early access to the campaign is said to be part of the program.

The final name for this episode developed by Sledgehammer Games has not yet been decided. Finally, the launch will be on current generation consoles (PS5, Xbox Series) as well as on previous generation consoles (PS4, Xbox One). The PC will of course not be forgotten.
