Wii U and 3DS online services to close in April 2024

In April 2024, Nintendo will close its online services for most 3DS and Wii U software, affecting multiplayer and other Internet-required functionality.
According to the company, this also includes online cooperative games, Internet leaderboards and data distribution. However, Nintendo has stated we will still be able to re-download games purchased on the eShop "for the foreseeable future".
