Layoffs at Naughty Dog and development at a standstill for The Last of Us multiplayer game

The Californian studio behind Uncharted and The Last of Us seems to be in more turmoil than ever. According to Kotaku, at least 25 people have been laid off by Naughty Dog in the last few hours.

The layoffs are said to be part of a downsizing program, with Full-time staff said to have been spared. No severance pay has apparently been paid to the employees concerned. In addition, there's been some internal pressure exerted to keep teams quiet.

Lastly, development of the multiplayer game The Last of Us is said to have come to a halt. However, cancellation is not on the agenda.
