Capcom president says game prices should rise
, by Quentin
In an interview, Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto stated that it now costs 100 times more to develop a game than it did in the NES era, but that prices have not kept pace with this increase.
In his opinion, video games would have to undergo a major price increase to keep up with this constant rise.
He insists that a AAA game takes several years to develop, and can represent an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars.
