Unity partially reverses its pricing policy
, by Quentin
After incurring the wrath of developers following its announcement of a change to its pricing policy, Unity is backtracking.
Indeed, the company stipulates that it will only count net new installations on all devices from January 1, 2024. Furthermore, it specifies that reinstallations or trial versions will not be affected.
Unity therefore estimates that 90% of its customers will be unaffected by this change. However, many developers say that the damage has already been done and that trust has been broken beyond repair.
