Mario Kart Tour won't be getting new content anytime soon

In September 2019, Nintendo brought the magic of Mario Kart Tour to mobile devices. Four years later, the game is about to reach a turning point.

The developers have announced that "no new tracks, drivers, karts or gliders will be added after the Battle Tour, which begins on October 4, 2023". Future seasons of the game will re-use content that has already appeared in Mario Kart Tour in recent months.
