The cancelled Immortals: Fenyx Rising sequel was inspired by Zelda Wind Waker and Elden Ring

Last month, information about an Immortals 2 was circulating on the web. This sequel, sadly cancelled by Ubisoft, looked promising to say the least. Today, a new article published by Axios tells us more about the concept of this failed second entry.
Codenamed "Oxygen", Immortals 2 was to take place in a fictionalized version of the Polynesian archipelago, with locations inspired by New Zealand, Easter Island and Hawaii. There is talk of strong inspiration from Elden Ring and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
The player's actions would also have an impact on the surrounding environment. The game would also have opted for a more organic interface. For example, instead of the usual markers, you'd have to look at the stars or follow the animals to reach a point of interest. A bit like Ghost of Tsushima.
Finally, the graphics needed to be improved and developers were reportedly surprised when the project was cancelled.
