Microsoft offers to sell cloud gaming rights for Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft

What a surprising turn of events! In a bid to persuade the British CMA to accept the buyout of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft is prepared to make a major concession on a global scale.

The American giant intends to sell the cloud rights to Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft. This will be the case everywhere except Europe. The French publisher will then be able to add titles such as Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Diablo and many others to the Ubisoft+ service.

Finally, Ubisoft will have the freedom to negotiate the arrival of Activision productions on other cloud gaming services owned by competitors. The CMA has agreed to study the proposal as part of a new investigation and the verdict will be delivered no later than October 18, 2023.
