At launch, all the maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be taken from Modern Warfare 2 (2009)

While the eagerly-awaited Modern Warfare III will be a great game in its own right, Sledgehammer Games is nevertheless playing it safe when it comes to the multiplayer.

Twitter insider bob. has clarified that all the maps that will appear at the game's launch will in fact be remastered versions of those available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

Nevertheless, completely new maps may still be added to Modern Warfare III over time.
