Activision confirms the release of a "new" Call of Duty this year

During the announcement of its financial results, the American publisher reiterated that a "premium Call of Duty" will indeed be released in 2023. However, according to information from journalist Jason Schreier, it will be more of an expansion (or a second season) for Modern Warfare 2, developed by Sledgehammer Games. The next true Call of Duty game produced by Treyarch is expected to arrive in 2024.
