While the Resident Evil saga is going strong, Monster Hunter is also in a pretty good position. Capcom has indeed taken stock of the results of its monster-hunting franchise.
Unsurprisingly, it's Monster Hunter: World that's taking the gold, with 19 million copies sold worldwide, followed by Monster Hunter Rise with 13.20 million units.
It should be noted that these two entries were both more successful than Resident Evil 2 (12.60 million), the best-selling game in the series (https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/2404-resident-evil-2-remake-becomes-the-best-selling-entry-in-the-series).
