The PS2 emulator for PS5 PS5SX2 has got big improvements
, by Thibaut
PS5SX2 is one of the most popular emulators available nowadays. It allows PS5 players to enjoy their PS2 games directly on their console. This software has just been updated to version 2.30, which improves overall performance.
As a result, PS5s running firmware versions lower than 9.00 can now reach 120 FPS (up from 40 or 80 FPS previously) on PS2 titles. All supported games now launch faster, and CPU and GPU processing has been optimized.
In addition, stuttering has been eliminated when frame generation is enabled. Freezes have also been fixed. All in-game loading times have been optimized, with improvements of up to two seconds. Memory cards are now more reliable, and errors when loading games via USB have been corrected.
