Sony seems to be gradually phasing out the PlayStation VR2

Are we witnessing the gradual disappearance of the PlayStation VR2? That’s the question we’re right to ask ourselves right now. Sony hardly mentions its virtual reality headset anymore, and almost no new games are being released for it.
Now, the website Road to VR reports that PS VR2 inventory is running out and not being restocked. The official PlayStation Store no longer offers it for sale in Japan and the United States. The accessory remains available, however, in major European countries. In regions such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, the Japanese manufacturer is directing customers to third-party retailers.
Finally, Sony apparently began removing the PlayStation VR2 from its official store around mid-October.
