Sony is set to produce a movie based on the indie horror game Mouthwashing

Mouthwashing is a psychological horror game released in September 2024 in which five crew members of the Tulpar find themselves stranded at the edge of space. The game has been very well-received by players, earning "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam.
Sony has therefore acquired the rights from developer Wrong Organ and publisher Critical Reflex to produce a film inspired by the video game. Karyn Kusama (Æon Flux, Jennifer’s Body, Destroyer) will direct. Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay (The Black Phone) will write the screenplay.
The cast and plot have yet to be announced.
