GOG will help indie studios publish their games

GOG, a company best known for its store featuring a wide selection of DRM-free PC video games, has launched a new initiative by partnering with the independent publisher Retrovibe. The goal is to help indie devs bring their games to consoles and PCs.

To that end, the newly created label will handle financing, marketing, certification, and relations with content creators and the media. The first games included in this initiative are Cop Bastard (scheduled for release on October 29) and Project Warlock: Lost Chapters.

It’s worth noting that on PC, games published in this way will not be exclusive to GOG. They will also be released on Steam. A website is available for studios to pitch their titles.
