Tencent to become majority shareholder of Techland (Dying Light)

In a press release published on Monday July 24, the Polish studio behind Dying Light announced its partnership with Tencent. The Chinese giant will even become the company's future major shareholder in the near future.

Despite this, Techland maintains that its teams will retain control over the various licenses and total creative freedom. CEO Paweł Marchewka will also retain his position.

The studio is currently working on a new open-world action-RPG franchise in a fantasy setting.
