Valve has publicly mentioned HLX, the project that could be Half-Life 3

Back in 2025, we reported on several rumors about a potential Half-Life 3, then known as HLX. Unfortunately, Valve never confirmed the project, so we were led to believe that all these rumors were unfounded. But there has recently been a new twist…

During a Q&A session, Mike Morasky, a Valve developer, openly mentioned HLX while answering a question on the spot. He seems to have let the cat out of the bag inadvertently, and now an entire gaming community is getting its hopes up again.

"Deadlock has their own version of HDR, HLX has their own, and so on."

No official images were shown, which suggests that Morasky probably shouldn’t have mentioned it publicly.
