Sony seems to have bought the righs to Kena: Scars of Kosmora

After being delayed until next year, Kena: Scars of Kosmora has become one of the titles to watch for on the PS5 in 2027. While it will also be available on PC, Ember Lab’s action-adventure game may have recently changed hands.

Previously owned by its developer, the Kena franchise now appears to belong to Sony. In a commercial featuring singer Lisa, the disclaimer "Kena: Scars of Kosmora is a registered trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment" appeared, which was not present in the game’s announcement trailer.

Furthermore, this also raises questions about the status of Ember Lab. While this is obviously not official, the Japanese company may also have acquired the developer to secure the rights to the franchise in the process.
