Rockstar Games reportedly wanted Daft Punk to compose GTA VI soundtrack

There's a big, new rumor about GTA VI that's all the rage right now. Last week, Rockstar Games announced that Justice had composed the soundtrack for the game. However, the French group was apparently not the company’s first choice.

According to Has it Leaked on X, the developer initially offered the project to Daft Punk. The idea was to stage an "final comeback" following the duo’s split in 2021. Rockstar reportedly even intended to allocate an "unlimited budget" to make this collaboration a reality. Unfortunately, Daft Punk reportedly turned down the offer, and so Justice was chosen instead.

The Has it Leaked account claims to have been revealing information about Daft Punk and Justice for over 10 years. Still, it's best to take this rumor with a grain of salt.
