Lucasfilm Games may entrust Star Wars Battlefront 3 to Bungie
, by Thibaut
Let’s start the week with a pretty wild rumor! Star Wars Battlefront II was released in November 2017, and EA has never officially announced a third installment. However, it appears that Disney wants to revive the franchise by entrusting the project to an external studio.
In a video recorded on Monday, Jeff Grubb, an insider and journalist at Giant Bomb, stated that two companies are being considered to develop Star Wars Battlefront 3. Unsurprisingly, DICE, the studio responsible for the last two installments, is on the list.
However, Bungie is also reportedly being considered to develop the title. The game isn’t in production yet, but discussions are reportedly underway. Of course, it's best to take this with a grain of salt, as it's nothing but a rumor at this point.
