The PS5 RAM and SSD alone would cost $680

We’re still in the dark about the price of the PlayStation 6. It’s almost a given that the console will cost close to €1,000, or even more. Sony obviously wants to make the highest possible profit margin on each sale, but also to offset the very high production costs.
According to insider Kepler_L2, the SSD and RAM of the console alone would cost $680. That doesn’t include the graphics card, processor, or any other components. Since PlayStation has already stated that it refuses to sell the PS6 at a loss, it will logically be priced at least $1,000.
Of course, this is just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.
