Originally released in 2019 on previous-generation consoles and PC, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is now set to launch on current-generation platforms. The open-world, third-person survival game will launch on December 8, 2026, on PS5, XBOX Series, and Switch 2.
Panache Digital Games has completely rebuilt the game to run on Unreal Engine 5. Owners of a copy of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be able to upgrade for free. New features include documentary-style storytelling, a full photo mode, and gameplay quality-of-life improvements. These improvements will also be available on PC for free.
