This week's releases: from October 12 to 18, 2026

Another week packed with new releases is about to begin. The Souls-like Valor Mortis, the Toy Story remasters, the management game Planet Zoo 2, and many others are set to launch in the coming days.

Valor Mortis

Get ready for a survival-exploration game featuring crafting and Metroidvania elements. Your character must navigate a hand-drawn dungeon to solve puzzles—either solo or in co-op.

Just Dance: Decades of Hits

This latest dance game features songs ranging from the 70s to the 2020s. Each decade offers challenges to tackle and includes renowned artists such as Bad Bunny, ABBA, and the Spice Girls.

Total War: Shogun 2 - Complete Edition

Creative Assembly has put together a definitive edition of its real-time strategy game, which invites players to unify Japan by becoming the Shogun. The graphics have been improved, the controls modernized, and over 50 minor factions are now playable.

Among the Trolls

This narrative first-person adventure game invites us to explore the secrets of the Finnish forests. Anna will uncover her past and solve the mystery surrounding her grandfather’s disappearance.

Over The Hill

Next up is this single-player or co-op driving game where you get behind the wheel of legendary 4x4s from the 60s through the 80s. You’ll also have to navigate challenging routes.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2

Once again, we’re treated to a highly dynamic first-person shooter in which we play as the Ultramarine Malum Caedo or the Battle Sister Nyra Veyrath. This sequel still boasts a retro look and features brand-new enemies as well as totally crazy weapons.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

The Castlevania saga returns with a 2D action-adventure game in which you play as Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont. The story takes place in Paris in 1499, as creatures overrun the capital. The game will feature a wide variety of bosses and Arcane systems.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps

It’s time to dive into an experience for younger players featuring Bluey and Bingo in a game centered around photography. You can explore iconic locations from the series, create a scrapbook, and make memories.

Disney/Pixar Toy Story: Retro Roundup! & Toy Story 3 Complete Edition

This tactical RPG with a dark fantasy atmosphere is inspired by a board game that has been adapted for digital play. It features sophisticated, challenging, and captivating mechanics in both single-player and online multiplayer modes.

Enshrouded

  • October 15, 2026 on PS5 and PC (version 1.0)

In Early Access since January 2024, this excellent survival game—which supports up to 16 players—is finally receiving its version 1.0 update. You play as the last hope of a dying race that must reclaim a kingdom and face formidable bosses.

Ratatan

  • October 15, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC (version 1.0)

This roguelike game, which combines rhythm and action elements, was conceived by the creator of the Patapon franchise. Up to four players can engage in intense battles with over 100 characters to choose from.

It Takes Two

The excellent cooperative adventure from Hazelight Studios is finally getting a native Switch 2 version. It’s the same game we’ve known since its 2021 release. We’re reunited with Cody and May, a couple on the verge of breaking up who have been turned into dolls and must work together to overcome various challenges.

Tales of Eternia Remastered

  • October 16, 2026, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC

This Japanese RPG returns in a remastered version with more dynamic combat and graphics that remain faithful to the original game but have been significantly improved.

Tenebris Somnia

Here’s a horror story that challenges us to solve puzzles and battle terrifying creatures. Live-action sequences will punctuate the story’s key moments.

LEGO Harry Potter Collection

The compilation featuring all seven Harry Potter movies in LEGO form is coming to Nintendo’s latest console. The content remains the same, but the visuals will obviously be improved compared to the Switch version.

Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4

Capcom is bringing the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 natively to Switch 2. They can be purchased separately via the eShop. The content of the three games is similar to that on other platforms.

Beyond These Stars
