Wii and GameCube emulator Dolphin will not be released on Steam
, by Thibaut
This is quite a disappointment for retrogaming fans. Last March, we learned that Dolphin, an emulator capable of running Wii and GameCube games on PC, was due to arrive on Steam this year. Alas, this will end up not being the case...
In a blog post, the emulator's creators stated that they would not be launching their creation on Valve's store due to a DMCA complaint lodged by Nintendo. The Japanese manufacturer is said to have contacted Valve with the aim of thwarting Dolphin's arrival on Steam.
