Sony and Microsoft’s upcoming consoles have likely reached a major milestone in their development. According to insider KeplerL2, the chips that will power these consoles have been finalized. They are now reportedly ready for mass production.

As such, the XBOX Helix’s chip is said to have a GPU computing power of 56 TFLOPS, compared to 40 TFLOPS for the PS6’s chip. Microsoft’s console would therefore have greater GPU computing power than Sony’s. Of course, we’re talking here about raw power, which won’t necessarily translate to in-game performance. Actual performance will depend on other factors and how developers utilize the hardware.

Currently, the PS5 has 10.28 TFLOPS, the PS5 Pro has 16.7 TFLOPS, the XBOX Series X has 12 TFLOPS, and the XBOX Series S has 4 TFLOPS.
