The Coalition has been hit by layoffs ahead of the release of Gears of War: E-Day

It's been an eventful day for XBOX Studios. Some have merged, others have changed parent companies, and others have lost several franchises. Of course, all of this has come with layoffs too.
Amoong the 268 job cuts announced by Matt Booty, several have been at tThe Coalition. Juan Vaca, a writer at the studio, has revealed that he was laid off during this latest round of layoffs. We do not know the full extent of these cuts yet.
As a reminder, The Coalition will release Gears of War: E-Day on October 6, 2026.
