Activision wants to make "the greatest Halo game ever"

So the rumors were right after all. Microsoft has decided to transfer Halo to Activision. From now on, Halo Studios will serve as a small support team for already released games and the fan community.

Thanks to the Game File website, we can read the statement from Rob Kostich, president of Activision, regarding this major addition to the publisher’s catalog. His goal is simple: to create the best Halo game in history.

"For Halo, our goal is clear: make the greatest Halo game ever, worthy of its universe and legacy, while staying true to what made players love it in the first place. It is a bold ambition, one that this franchise deserves. We have already begun assembling a purpose-built team, unique in capability and talent, ready and excited to deliver this next chapter with the community."

At the same time, Activision will continue its efforts on Call of Duty and will take over Rare (Sea of Thieves). To put it simply, this is the beginning of a new era for XBOX.
