Take-Two goes after the GTA VI leaker with subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord
, by Thibaut
This time, Take-Two Interactive is stepping up its efforts to track down the infamous leaker who has been posting clips of GTA VI for several days. A new clip was released this Friday.
Rockstar Games’ parent company has just filed several subpoenas with a court to obtain all information related to the videos posted online illegally. Microsoft and Discord have consequently been asked to provide information regarding the accounts that have recently shared leaks. Details of the OneDrive or Xbox accounts of those primarily involved could thus be provided to Take-Two in the near future.
Microsoft now has until September 4, 2026, to provide "all internal Microsoft business records and investigative records associated with Microsoft’s internal investigation of the ‘cyberleek’ persona sufficient to identify the user(s), person(s) and/or entity/ies associated with that persona." Discord has the same deadline to provide information related to members of various servers such as CYBERLEEK, CINEMATICROCKSTAR, and Surfer24k™.
It seems Take-Two and Rockstar will do everything in their power to track down and identify thpse operating under the Cyberleek alias.
