Pearl Abyss is aiming to release DokeV in 2028

Last March, Pearl Abyss announced that DokeV, its upcoming open-world action-adventure game with creature collection touches, wouldn't come out for another two or three years.

In its latest financial report, the South Korean studio clarified that the title and a second project tentatively named Plan 8 are both in active development. Production on DokeV is progressing well, and a launch during the second half of 2028 is now being planned.

"Furthermore, two new titles, DokeV and Plan 8, are in active development. DokeV is currently targeting a release in the second half of 2028, and our reveal strategy is being aligned with this timeline. Leveraging the technological capabilities and development experience accumulated during the development of Crimson Desert, development is progressing smoothly. As the project advances, we are steadily expanding our development manpower to accelerate the pace of development."

In the second quarter of 2026, Pearl Abyss sold an additional 2.11 million copies of Crimson Desert. And while the MMORPG Black Desert is performing well, the company’s revenue has still gone down.
