CMA may order new investigation into Activision Blizzard takeover

Tuesday July 11 was a great victory for Microsoft. The American giant effectively won its case against the FTC in the United States. Subsequently, the FTC and the brand chose to resume discussions with the intent to reach an agreement in the UK.
In a press release, the UK competition authority pointed out that it is impossible to take corrective action following its decision to block the acquisition last April. Even so, the deal could be restructured, leading to yet another investigation into the merger with Activision Blizzard.
Discussions have only just begun, so we'll have to wait several days before we know the final outcome.
