This news won’t come as a surprise to many. The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is making headlines again, and this time, it’s Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, that has spoken out.
During the release of its financial reports this Friday, the parent company stated that « global enthusiasm for the launch of GTA VI continues to grow, with the title off to an exceptional start in pre-orders », although no specific figures were provided.
The company also forecasts a 20% increase in revenue for fiscal year 2027, projecting $8 billion in revenue, with Rockstar accounting for approximately 37% of that total. In this regard, a statement reads:
"Our strong first-quarter results reflect the strength of our portfolio and disciplined execution across all our labels. With these positive trends and the excitement surrounding the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, we are reaffirming our fiscal year 2027 guidance of $8.0 to $8.2 billion".
This news comes the day after an announcement that has already sparked a strong reaction: an extended preview of the game will be streamed exclusively on Netflix six hours before it airs on traditional platforms.
We can also expect another surge in pre-orders following the release of this preview.
