The heist game Thick As Thieves was released on May 20 and is already ending development

Thick As Thieves is an action-stealth game that can be played solo or in multiplayer with friends and that's been available on PC since May 20, 2026. Players must pull off heists at various locations in a fictionalized 1910s Scottish city.
Unfortunately, the lifespan of this OtherSide Entertainment title has been rather short. In a message posted on Steam, the studio announced that it had laid off the majority of its staff. Now, there is "only a very small team left" to maintain the game. As a result, no further content updates will be released for Thick As Thieves.
The developers are nevertheless doing everything necessary to ensure the game remains playable. A new version of the game using peer-to-peer servers for co-op mode is currently being developed. The gameplay experience will remain unchanged, and dedicated cloud servers will no longer be required to play with a friend. The single-player mode will remain fully accessible.
Finally, publisher Megabit will handle the release of patches to fix bugs and various issues.
