Several XBOX studio executives reportedly hate Game Pass

Since its launch in June 2017, Xbox Game Pass has always had its detractors. Some have even gone to openly criticize the service for its negative impact on sales of the games included in the catalog.
This view is reportedly shared by people within Microsoft itself. In fact, Jason Schreier revealed during a podcast that several studio executives at the American company simply hate Xbox Game Pass.
"There are a lot of people out there in studio leadership within xbox who absolutely detest game pass and think it has destroyed the value of their games, think it has taken away the value from all games in general [...]."
Furthermore, Schreier believes that while Microsoft will continue to include its games on “day one” in the near future, the company will eventually abandon this practice, which makes no sense.
