The remake of the first Resident Evil was reportedly set to enter pre-production in 2025

Capcom will keep releasing plenty of remakes, and the first Resident Evil game is expected to come back in a modernized version. That being said, fans will have to wait a few years before seeing this project come to fruition.

In a post on X, insider Dusk Golem indicated that Resident Evil 1 Remake was set to enter pre-production sometime between August and September 2025. The title is expected to fully occupy the developers’ attention once Resident Evil Veronica launches in 2027.

Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
