Obsidian is reportedly still working on Avowed 2 despite its cancellation

This week, Bloomberg reported that Obsidian is now working on a new Fallout game following its restructuring. Rumors were also circulating about the cancellation of Avowed 2.
Ultimately, journalist Jason Schreier provided additional information, clarifying that a small team within the studio is still working on Avowed 2 despite its cancellation. It is actually further along than one might expect, considering that the first game was released in 2025.
The developers are reportedly waiting for other projects, such as Fallout, to be ready before they can fully focus on Avowed 2 again. They are hoping that Xbox will give the green light to finish it, as its development is reportedly nearly complete.
