Sony's Firesprite studio acquires new premises in Liverpool

In September 2021, Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Firesprite. The studio has since delivered Horizon Call of the Mountain on PS5 and exclusively for PlayStation VR2, a real technological showcase for the Japanese company's headset.

Firesprite has now moved into brand-new premises in Liverpool, as the 250-strong team needed a substantial workspace according to the size and ambition of the company.

"The move to our new studio space is a significant step forward for Firesprite in helping us fulfil our vision of becoming a creative powerhouse within the PlayStation Studios family", reads an article published on the studio's website.
