Tencent invests in Lighthouse Games, the new studio from the Playground Games co-founder
, by Thibaut
Last year, Gavin Raeburn, co-founder of Playground Games (Forza Horizon), founded a new studio called Lighthouse Games. The company is currently working on an all-together big-budget license, and has just received major funding.
Tencent has indeed injected a large sum of money into Lighthouse. Despite this, the studio retains complete creative freedom, and will also decide on its publishing future. The funds raised will enable the teams to invest in recruitment and the development of new technologies.
