Resident Evil Veronica will feature plenty of sequences that have been modified from the original

Resident Evil Veronica is set to launch in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. A stunning trailer was released at Summer Game Fest last week.

Now, we hear from Yoshiaki Hirabayashi through his responses to journalists during a Q&A session. The remake’s producer specifically addressed the adaptation of this iconic title, which was originally released on the Dreamcast in 2000. We can certainly expect a great many changes.

While Hirabayashi stated that the story will primarily focus on Claire Redfield, he also added that many scenes will be significantly altered.

"We’re not cutting scenes; we’re simply reorganizing them. Expect a lot of things to be changed and reimagined."

Furthermore, Hirabayashi revealed that Resident Evil Veronica will exclusively use a third-person perspective. Finally, the storyline is expected to remain largely unchanged from the original title.
